Dabke

Dabke baseia-se nos movimentos dos pés que as pessoas faziam com o intuito de compactar as rachaduras dos telhados já que, antigamente, eles eram cobertos com lama.
De mãos dadas e formando um semicírculo, as pessoas realizam várias batidas com os pés ao som dos ritmos said ou malfuf. O derbake e a flauta mizmar também estão presentes na música. É uma dança muito alegre que está presente em quase todas as festas árabes.

In the past, the roofs were covered by mud which cracked especially in the change of seasons. Then, people were used to stomp their feet while walking on the roof in order to fix the mud. Dabke is based in this idea. People hold hands, form a line and start stomping their feet on the ground. It is a very cheerful dance shared by all the family.
Rhythms used: said and malfuf with derbak and the mizmar flute.
