Khaleege

Khaleege é uma palavra árabe que significa golfo e foi justamente na região do Golfo Pérsico que este estilo de dança teve origem.
Ela é caracterizada por marcações com os pés e movimentos de braços, tronco, mãos e cabeça, sobretudo os cabelos que são jogados de um lado para o outro. A balarina usa uma túnica - Galabya /Thobe - e dança ao ritmo do Soudi(Saudi).

Khaleege is an Arabic word which means gulf and it was exactly in the Persian Gulf that this kind of dance came from. It focus on footwork and upper body movements( hands, arms, torso and head). Women are used to tossing their hair from one shoulder to the other.
The suitable costume for Khaleege is a tunic -Galabya/Thobe and the rhythm is Soudi(Saudi).
